archaeologist. The closest thing Reynard has to friends and equals, being his acquaintances and allies. He'd go a certain distance for these like-minded spirits. More often than not, they're also villains of sorts, or they have some goal in common. [wickedlywest, OPEN]

yellow-bellied. Some poor unfortunate soul who has a hopeless crush on him. They're something like equals, but she has it bad for him - which gives Reynard a slight upper hand, and he's not exactly oblivious to that fact. He's maintained the current precarious balance, however, and hasn't gone into his traditional relationship--manipulate--breakup cycle with her, for reasons of his own. [OPEN]

dead letter. Reynard has a tendency to pull the sarcastic and condescending card; these poor unfortunate souls are the recipients. Details vary. [kingofstories, whynded, OPEN]

snowstorm. Coworkers at Mt. Sinai Hospital, or anyone else in the medical profession, really. [solveitall, OPEN]

butterfly. Kelly, the tradesman's daughter incarnate. Old girlfriend. Ruined her career in one fell swoop. But hey, at least he didn't kill her this time? [RESERVED]

orca. Lady Mary. [ladybold]

faithful guide. It's ironic that Mr. Fox opted for such a cheerful young woman to be his dogwalker, and far from insulting her optimism, actually indulges it. But it's an opportunity to ingratiate himself with Sebastian's ultimate target. Who could say no? Besides, that dog really does need walking. [claudiajane]

sore. They were best friends during high school in Indiana, before he suddenly left; she knew everything about him, and witnessed his poor background, single mother, and abusive home first-hand. She knew his past as a quiet, driven teenager. Accordingly, things are incredibly tense between Reynard and the friend he left behind: Reynard's history, and the change he underwent, is one of those sides of himself that he hardly ever shares, and he tries to keep knowledge of it out of the public eye. [goodhunting]

lipstick. Women he likes in general and pays considerable attention to. He takes them out to dinner. They usually play hard-to-get, which just riles up his hell-bent determination more. Definitely people he wants to have, but simply hasn't tried the manipulative cycle on yet. [gingeredwitch, prehensility, fairestone, OPEN] Requirements: odd similarities between the two, either in personality, villain role, tale redemption, or background.

jaws of life. Jess. She's rattling his foundations. [bramblesgaveway]

danse macabre. "Now amongst them there was a certain Mr Fox, handsome and young and rich; though nobody quite knew who he was, he was so gallant and so gay that everyone liked him." That's the way of the tale: despite his distant sarcasm and aloof behaviour, people are drawn to him and crave his respect. The DANSE MACABRE would be a survivor of his infamous relationship cycle, who probably hates his guts at the moment. Maybe she emerged from it stronger, maybe she emerged from it worse for wear, or more emotionally distanced. Details will vary! [OPEN]
