The Last Month
I'm sure everyone is dying to know whats been up with Travis Walker for the last month (ha), since I haven't written in this thing since my birthday. I could describe the evening, but it'd be typical 21st birthday drink until you cant stand shit. I'll offer one amusing anecdote though - at some point during the night, I lost my cell phone. I called it the whole next day, hoping someone would answer it, but no dice. Finally, it ran out of batteriers and stopped ringing. I figured getting it back was a lost cause, so I grabbed my mother and we went to the t-mobile store so I could buy a new phone and link it up with her family plan. I'm in the t-mobile store, 5 minutes away from buying a new phone when my mothers cell rings with an incoming call from my phone. Turns out Brooks had found the phone at his house, so I met up with him and got it back. It was one of the most fortunate things of the year.
After that I came back up to Bellingham and settled into my apartment. I spent the next few weeks job hunting and decorating the place. I wish I had a camera to snap some photos so I could show off the total badassery. Eventually I was contacted by the Olive Garden about a line cooking spot @ $9/hour, which I took and started yesterday. Should be good times.
Other than that, its been an uneventful 3 weeks - lots of staying up late watching movies and drinking beer.
