Welcome to itut, the community that is strictly for tutorials.

If you wish to apply for posting access, please do so here. Please post with the name you wish to post with as well as a link to a tutorial you have done already or 3-6 icons you have created. I will check out your icons/tutorial and let you know if you get posting access. :)

To be perfectly honest, I'm very very conflicted on your application. The tutorials you have written are very well done, very easy to follow and the explanations for what you do and why are great. We don't have any gimp tutorial writers here so it would be great to have you. On the other hand, there isn't consistency with the quality of the icons in the tutorials you have written. For example, the two you linked as your favourites are two very different tutorials - both very well written but as well as quality writing we want to see a quality 'product' so to speak - the end result. The 'oh my' icon is much nicer (I love it actually) then the Sisko icon. I think the Sisko icon would be better without the cartooned layer but that is really my opinion.

For now I'm going to say no however I want you to apply again after writing a few more. I'd like to see more tutorials for icons like your "oh my" icon, the Zoe icon you used with this post or the "River in a tree" icon you have in your userpics. I think, in all honesty, that is the biggest hurdle to overcome - choosing the right subject for a tutorial.

I've noticed the same inconsistency with my output, too. Some of the icons I really liked in the past don't look as good now, and so forth.
But I shall keep writing and working, and I'll reapply when I'm done with this semester. Thanks for the input!
