It'll be so sweet. I'm already super excited about it, and I could totally save up enough to go. Just got to investigate flight options. The order of events could quite happily be reversed. I told my boss at work that I was looking to take about three weeks off around that time and so he's aware I have plans, and hopefully won't let anyone else take leave around that time (stupid rules about people not being able to take leave at the same time as other people)
I'm looking forward to this mostly because I know that work is going to suck balls for the next month or two. Big Corporation is losing employees like flies because the last people who were let go are leaving and another guy quit as he got a job down in Sydney. That same guy also works at the comic shop, so we're understaffed there too, which impacts my life a little more acutely, as I'll probably be asked to help out more on weekends until we have someone else trained up, which I'm cool with, but man. I liked having that Weekend thing that so many people have. Things can get done!
A lot of people have been commenting to me that they think I'm looking better, so the diet and the exercise seems to be working. I'm glad. All things considered life is pretty sweet for me at the moment.
It's good to have goals. I never used to think I was a goal orientated person, but it seems that I'm growing into one. I think it suits me.
