So. My bag. It's one of those bottomless pit bags. I apparently have a lot of stuff in it I did not know I could fit in it. It's also one of the only real souvenirs I have and use frequently from my trip to Canada. It's starting to fray near where the straps attach to the bag, though. I will need to hunker down and do some serious repair-work if I expect it to heft my computer around when Uni starts back up.
But anyway. Peek inside-- what does the cavernous pit contain?
My lunchbox! It had a nectarine and peanut butter cookies in it today. I bought myself macaroni cheese which I ate with the fork you can see below. The teaspoon is there for when I eat fruit-cups (see below). The Waterbottle is there for obvious reasons-- one must stay hydrated in an office! Or is that vodka inside? I'll let you decide. And an umbrella, because I always get rained on, and I'm sick of it. At least if I carry an umbrella it's a sure sign it won't rain.
Moisturiser! I only ever remember to do that when I'm sitting at the bus stop, so it's handy to have it in my bag. Panadol, because I'm apparently the person people turn to when they need drugs. The puffer the doctor told me I need for my Fake-Asthma, deodorant, a nut bar, a fruit box, a chapstick and blistex! Yes, I need both.
This is the important stuff. Purse, that has all of about 75c inside. It's also new as of the weekend. My bus pass, my security tag and ID for Telstra (with pretty much the worst ID photo I've ever had. I look like I have a freakin' beetroot for a head. A bald beetroot. Who's about to sneeze... Anyway. The ancient Ipod Mini, and the phone. Also two sets of headphones, because apparently one pair isn't enough!
Lets see. Glasses-cleaning cloth, small figurine of Bizarro Superman, my keys on my Lego!Hermione Keychain, My Pac-Man bracelet from Diva, various rubbish receipts that I should really toss in the bin instead of hoarding, my watch, a coin purse that
dammitliv and her sister got me (that is of course, empty, though it wasn't this morning before I got my morning Mocha!) Business cards for
Work that'll give the
brisneybooks discount and an Alien Nation Passport. It was a thing from the Optimism exhibit at GOMA. I don't really get it, but it was cool at the time!
Last but not least: A knitting pattern for a Blanket. It's the next thing I'm planning on making and it's sticking in my bag because I need to go to Lincraft sometime this week and buy the wool and needles. The book is Possession by A. S. Byatt, and I'm only three chapters in and digging it hardcore. I think I'll read some of that instead of watching an ep of Life On Mars or The X-Files as was my original plan for the evening.
