yes… I am still alive

Hey everybody! Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth (yet again). Things have been crazy. In the biggest news… we are moving!!! no, not back to Louisville…
but to an awesome house that will make my drive to work 20 min vs the 60-90 minutes we spend in the car now (one way). Lookies!!!

So where the hell did this come from you ask and when did the process begin.

Part 1- we gained a roomie about 2 months ago. Cary, Mikes’ friend (the best man in our wedding) got a job with White Wolf and needed a place to stay while he apartment hunted. He had mentioned that if we lied closer to WW he would have not problem staying with us long term, as the case was he was only gong to stay 2 months max, the hour drive into work really turned him off to living with us long term).

Part 2 - I look at houses randomly online just to see what is available and I showed one to Mike. He started playing with numbers and realized we can actually afford to live in Stone Mountain now. After talking with Cary, we came up with a plan.

The process - on the 27th of September we talked to what will be our Sellers agent to get an idea of how long out house we currently live in will take to sell and what all we needed to do to get it into selling condition(we know it is a crap market). Her estimate was 6-9 months, we have 12 other houses for sale in our neighborhood currently. That weekend we went to Louisville to celebrate the marriage of a friend of ours and took some time to think over our options. Once we got back to GA the hunt began. We contacted our Buyers agent (that we used to buy our house in Covington) and set aside time to see 10 houses on the 7th of October. We all really liked #7 (the w we are buying!). We submitted an offer on the house on the 8th and we were in contract on the 9th! We will know for sure if we have the loan on Thursday and we can close as early as the 25th of October, right now we are set to close on the 30th. There you have it, from start to finish in about a month!
