Ireland?

So last week I started thinking about Mike and I taking a big trip for our 10 yr wedding anni in 2010. At first I said Australia, but then Mike put his 2 cents in and suggested we go somewhere I had not been before. (He is not very interested in Australia) So I started thinking. I have always wanted to visit Ireland and Europe, so I did a few searches and figured out that a trip to Ireland for 14 day would be about $2000 less expensive than a 12 day trip down under.

I found an amazing option on RickSteves.com. Rick Steves does a lot of travel shows on PBS and I have one of his Travel Europe DVDs. He is doing a “Best of Ireland” Tour 2007 which basically takes you (and 24 other travelers) all the way around the “Emerald Isle” in 14 days.

The tour begins and ends in Dublin. The full iteniry, cost and what’s included can be found here. My only hope is that he is stil doing these tours in 2010. I think it would be an amazing trip and we will have to start saving soon if we really want to go.

Our anni trip plans for this year look like Savannah again. I was thinking about Orlando so that we could go to Sea World and Animal Kingdom but I think Savannah is more my (our) style. This time I think we will stay in Historic Savannah instead of Tybee Island. There is so much more I want to see and photograph in the city and go on an actual Ghost Tour that will take us inside Cemeteries or “haunted houses”. You can see pics from last year here.
