There is so much truth in the latest episode of the Ryan Estrada Expeditions.
"I think a lot of the world's problems come from people getting their truth from just one source." He mentions how Ghandi read the Bible, the Koran, and all sorts of sources. You learn the truth by hearing it from various perspectives, from your neighbors to Adolf Hitler to MAD Magazine.
I've been meaning to read the Bible all the way through, but it got kinda boring and took a lot of my time(I eventually stopped to read all the Harry Potter books). Only got through a few chapters of Genesis. I think part of it is Moses's writing style. I'm sure other books of the Bible will be more interesting. Unfortunately, all of Moses's books are clumped together so it'll be a while before I reach the others' books(Maybe I should start with Acts, the first book written of the Bible). I'm even using the Message version, which is designed to be read easily like a novel. This shouldn't be so boring.
After I finish the Bible, I hope to find a copy of the Koran, then move on to whatever Buddhists have. Actually, I have the highest expectations of the Buddhists' book(whatever it is). I'm all for peaceful religions. Paganism is another I'd like to explore. I have at least one Wiccan friend, and from what I know of Pagans, they're pretty caring people. Btw, if you don't know already, Paganism is NOT devil-worship. It's earth-worship. It seems most people I talk to think Paganism is Satan-worship, so I figured I should clear that up before anybody replies.
Currently, I'm an atheist that wants to believe in God, but finds him hard to believe in. I'd consider myself agnostic, but I'm rather annoyed by Christians, and don't really have much desire to BE a Christian. I follow Jesus's teachings selectively. I obey the Ten Commandments(except the parts about worshipping things I don't believe in), because they're good ideas. It's rather counter-productive to kill others(except in hopeless self-defense), and just plain mean to steal from them. If you break all of the commandments, people will not like you.
