Tony Blair works toward religious tolerance

This initiative looks rather good. I'm all for religious tolerance, and if he can reach the general public with this message of peace, all the better. In a speech before religious and business leaders at Time Warner Center, Tony Blair said, ''If faith becomes a countervailing force, pulling people apart, then it becomes destructive and indeed dangerous.'' Definitely. Even though I'm an atheist, I support religion as long as it keeps the person out of trouble. Osama Bin Laden... I would revoke his religious rights from him if I could. However, the Muslim down the street, he's a useful member of society, doing good things for the world.
Changing others' religious views is near-impossible, and sometimes disastrous. Everybody thinks they're right. If we can just accept the other people, and not care if you believe they're going to Hell or ceasing to exist, then we can live peacefully together while we're still alive.
