[It took Maya some getting used to, also, but she had frequented Peace Burger in Sumaru City often enough to have some acquaintance with American food when she arrived.]

Hello, Mio. Maya is fine, you know, you don't have to be so formal. [She smiles gently.]

Nothing fancy. Cheeseburgers with fries, enough for everyone. There's lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles on them, but we can take those off if you don't like them.

A-ah...I think I'll stick with Maya-san, then.

[She has been trying to get on a diet, though. Okay not really What do, Mio? It would be of bad taste to reject food.]

[That's right! They'll eat extra healthy tomorrow to make up for it.]

It won't hurt. I'll make something a little lighter tomorrow, but I had to work a long shift today and just wasn't feeling up to it. [Though Himeno and Dean have done their share of cooking, as well. Maya's never been great at it, but she's been improving by leaps and bounds the more time she spends at the diner and in the kitchen.]

Hmm...it was fairly regular, considering.

[Yay! Maya feels they should cook together sometime, it would be a fun opportunity for bonding.]

Not much exciting really happens at school here, does it? [Maya muses aloud as she helps herself to a seat and pulls a burger and a box of fries from the bag for herself, eating the first fry with a thoughtful expression.]
