[And this is Minako, at the park sitting nearby and reading a magazine. And as she reads, she notices a girl she never seen before...does she work at the diner? Don't mind Minako looking at you]

[Maya catches a glimpse of Minako watching her out of the corner of her eye as she passes, and instead of continuing down the walk, she slows to a stop. Something about her feels... familiar. She bites at her lower lip, briefly. How is that possible? She's sure they've never met.]

[She blinked as Maya walked closer to her. Minako really needed to work on her stalking abilities more. Was she that noticeable?]

No, I don't think so! I got here a month ago so I doubt it.

[Well, even if Minako wasn't noticeable, Maya's aggressive potential-new-friend radar wasn't about to let her walk past without saying hello!]

Oh! So you're even newer than I am! It's been a little over three months for me, but I'm still getting used to things.

[She offers Minako a wry smile.]

How are you settling in so far?

Sort of!

I'm still trying to get use to the fifties kind of feel and the events that keep happening. [We shall never speak of that event ever again] But it's kind of nice when things quiet down.

There's certain brands of excitement here I could do without. [Right, never ever again.] But in-between, I'm starting to like it a little. Though I do miss home.

[Something about this girl continues to prick at her, not unpleasantly, but Maya finds it a bit bewildering.]

Oh? What is your home like?

[She said before gesturing Maya to sit next to her]

[Maya offers her a grateful smile, nodding once before taking the indicated seat.]

Busy. I'm from Sumaru City in Japan, it's a pretty big place! I work for a magazine there. I prefer big cities to small towns like this, I suppose, though there are some things about Mayfield that are nice. I like being able to walk everywhere.

What about yours?

I'm from Iwatodai, Japan! It's by the sea and I usually go to school on one of the man made islands over there. It's a really nice place and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I was born there too so there is some bias.

Oh! I've been to Iwatodai before, for work! It's not too far from Sumaru. You're right, Iwatodai is nice. I wouldn't mind visiting there again.

I never really been to Sumaru myself but I might have to go there too if I remember!

Oh, if you do go, you have to try the pheromones coffee there! It's really good!

I would love to have some sushi right now! There's only so much 50s food I can eat!

Same here. I don't mind it too much, but I really miss the food from home. I came home from work to find that Himeno had made sushi a couple of weeks ago, it was nice... almost like going home for a little bit.
