Shukudai ga daikirai

I have to write a fundraising letter for tomorrow for my writing class. I have no desire whatsoever to do this. I've chosen to make it a thank you letter after a donation, so luckily I won't have to actually ask for money and such, but still, it is ridiculously not enjoyable.

What I would really love to do right now is sleep. Just sleep for an entire day (and not feel guilty or worried about anything). I'm very envious of students at schools that have fall breaks (besides Thanksgiving). I could really use one of those.

Next I have my digital imaging class though, which I've been looking forward to because she'll be meeting with each of us to discuss our progress thus far this term. Seeing as we haven't had any feedback on our projects (at least, after they have been revised), I'm eager to see where I'm at.

Speaking of which, here is the revised version of my giant human attack on Himeji (it is no longer just gaijin though, there is also a "gaijin-enabler"): Himeji attack!

Right now my other projects consist of a self-portrait in Painting (which I think shall turn out pretty well), a series of three abstract digital paintings for Digial Imaging, and a collaborative part-installation/part-sculpture/part-drawing project for Sculpture (I'm not too crazy about this one). I also am still working on a relief sculpture for sculpture as well.

Anyway, in happier news, it turns out there is a really nice (and cheap) hostel in the middle of Moscow. Seeing as all my Expedia searches that included both airfare and hotel had been estimating 3000 to 4000 dollars (the airfare itself is usually only from 800 to 900), I was very very excited to see that I won't either be spending an exorbitant amount of money for a small trip, or ending up being able to only stay a couple of days. This really makes me wish it was April or May (depending on when I go). I'm very excited now :D

Anyway, I must be off to class now, and then to work.
