Pittsburgh

Thought I should update.

Last week was quite busy. First, I worked Monday through Wednesday, one of those days being a 12.5 hour shift, and another being 9.5 hours. Then on Thursday, I met Kenny, Theo and Eli in Chinatown, and we went to meet my family for dinner, then stayed up watching movies. On Friday I cooked breakfast and then we went downtown for a little bit. Saw my ancestor, had some Starbucks, walked around Chinatown. Then I went home and got to see my sister and nephew and then proceeded to stay up all night packing to come back to Pittsburgh, which I did on Saturday.

After having dinner with my parents at a really delicious Middle Eastern restaurant after they dropped me off, I met Ashleigh, Justin T., and Nate, and we went to a hookah bar (my first time trying that. It was pretty fun, though i would definitely not want to risk getting any sort of addiction, so I doubt that I will go very much at all. Really, it depends on other people if I ever go again. And actually, the fun part about it wasn't even the hookah. It was just a nice relaxing atmosphere). After the hookah bar, we went to Hemingway's for some drinks and pants-shittin' fries, and after that we went and saw A Clockwork Orange at this one theatre that shows has special weekly shows, such as that one. It was a weird but enjoyable movie. Actually, it wasn't as weird and violent as I thought it would be, but I guess back then it was probably insane. I'd like to see it again though, for clarity. I was also quite proud of myself for recognizing that the main character had a Leeds accent :D Yay Leeds!

Anywho, I'm in my room in my house right now (I'm renting a room in a house. The living room and kitchen and whatnot are shared). I like it, though in this continuous rain that we're currently having, I do miss the convenience of the dorms. There are buses at least, however. My room feels a lot like a dorm room, seeing as it's already furnished, but it is a bit bigger than my room sophomore year and there is more furniture. I do like having a kitchen now, except that means that I have to do grocery shopping, which isn't really new for me, but it is new as far as using my own money is concerned (I've done the grocery shopping for my parents a number of times, so it was their money). Gonna have to figure out how to budget. Plus, the kitchen isn't fully stocked as far as pots and pans and knives are concerned, so I'm going to have to buy some of those. The question is, should I just buy the super cheap stuff, or should I invest in something higher quality that might last me longer, even though I won't necessarily need it for awhile after I graduate? I'm sure the suspense of my final decision will eat away at you.

That is all.
