Oh college... How I hate you.
So... money situation is as dire as ever. I did get rehired at Michael's, but I desperately need to find a second job soon. How do people get those good paying summer jobs? I turned in some applications, but I haven't heard anything yet. Plus, I got back my EFC from the FAFSA and it's over 27600... Not sure how they figured that one, but I can tell you that my parents' contribution will not extend beyond the cost of driving me to and from school and maybe 25 dollars for my birthday. Granted, they are feeding me while I'm not at school, and the lack of rent does save me money overall, but I just find it... amusing, that changes in my parents' income affects my EFC, but it doesn't affect the contribution itself. I know I'm going to have to take out an additional loan this semester. How I do that... no idea.
I also have the problem of living situation. I have no idea where I'm going to live when I go to Pitt this fall, and worse yet, I really don't know how to go about finding a place and what all I need. Rip-off though it may be, I really would like to live in a dorm. But it's too late to do that. I'm only going to be there a semester, and there doesn't seem to be leases for that short of time, so I'm sort of panicking at the moment (and half hoping that one of my friends could just let me crash at their place for four months...).
