No Russia for Sarah.
Simon got accepted into this intensive four week Russian course at a school in Siberia from the end of April right up till the week before his final exams. I had been planning on coming mid-May, which would have been the earliest I could have gone as far as money is concerned, but as you can see that would not work out (he leaves shortly after the exams).
I'm excited for him since it sounds like it was pretty hard to get into, but I am disappointed that I won't be seeing him until he comes to visit in the summer.
On the other hand though, this really frees my budget, so now I might be able to visit other friends instead :D
