Update

Though I would do a real update.

Thanksgiving was fun. My friend Ayumi, who's studying abroad in America from Japan, came back with me to Philadelphia. We fed her cheeseteaks and turkey and whatnot (and she fed my family okonomiyaki, which they loved). We didn't do a whole lot, but she says she had fun, so that's good. Thanksgiving is a lot like Japanese New Year's in that people visit their families and hang around and eat (and then the next day there's a lot of shopping). Speaking of shopping, we left the house around 4:15 AM to go to King of Prussia mall. First we stopped by Best Buy, which was crazy crowded. We ended up leaving and going to some clothing stores, which were loads better. We were done shopping by 9:30 am. I bought two pairs of jeans, a shirt, a scarf and one Christmas present.

On Saturday my sister, her boyfriend and my nephew came over. He's getting so big! He's so adorable :D Ayumi took a bunch of pictures and videos of him :D. Then, after they left, I decided that I really wanted to get this computer I had seen on sale on Best Buy's website, so we headed over there about 30 minutes before they were closing. At first they said they were out of stock, but then someone found one :D It wasn't advertised in the paper, so I don't think a lot of people knew about it, which I'm glad about. So, I bought it! Along with a 2 gig ram upgrade, which was also on sale. So here's what my new computer is: Acer Extensa. That with the 2 gigs of ram (and tax) came to just under 700 dollars. Compared to other computers with comparable features, this was quite a bit cheaper. :D (Plus looking online, people said Acer was a good brand). I'm very excited about it :D (Though I still prefer desktop keyboards to laptop)

In other news, I graduate in less than two weeks! Hooray! I'm very excited, especially since most of my classes don't have a lot of work left to them. I have a sculpture I need to finish tonight (oh... and a few things to write for my sketchbook for sculpture. Must remember that), a painting and a small presentation on that painting for my (you guessed it!) painting class, a revision of a Japanese paper, and an animation for my digital imaging class. The animation is due during final's week though, which is cool. I'm a bit stuck on that right now. It's not supposed to be anything super long. It's one of those things where you have so many fun things you could do so you can't decide.

I sent in my JET application on Friday and it got there in time :D It's nice to have that out of the way. I was going to do my interview in D.C., but I decided to change it to New York since some of my friends were doing it there (and not only would we be there for interviews together, we'd also have the same departure and orientation). I will come down to the D.C. area sometime though, for those friends of mine reading this who live in that area.

Anywho, that's about it in Sarah News. Oh, not quite. I've been watching Lost a lot lately and I finally got through the third season. I hope the WGA strike ends soon so Lost doesn't get affected too much. :D

The end.
