You don't sound rude, but you didn't read my entry correctly. I never said I wanted to move because people are racist.
I said, "I love Japan, but there are also a lot of things I hate about Japan, so it was a hard decision, but ultimately I don't see my future here. I don't want to work in a company. I don't want to be a teacher. I don't want to raise my children in Japan. It's better for me to move while I still can. I don't want to be stuck here forever!"
Mainly, I don't see my future here, so I want to move.
I can deal with regular Japanese racism, but there's a HUGE difference between American racism and Japanese racism. Americans may be mean to your face about your race, but they can't really hold you back from anything because it's illegal to do so. In Japan, they'll be nice to your face all day, and then deny you basic rights, jobs, day care, schooling, financial aid, medical aid, etc. And if you complain to the police/government, they don't give a good god damn. It doesn't help being a female either. Females simply cannot move up in the Japanese working world, because it's MADE that way. It's something I don't see my future in.
And there are places in Japan that I cannot go because I could be harmed as well.
Not to mention that white people are also discriminated against in the states. Not in the same manner, or even to the same extent, as other races, but it does happen. Especially in areas where white people are not the majority.
