(the door opens slightly, and Tony's head appears. He opens the door wider when he sees Yujinn, and motions for the older man to come in.)

Hmm, okay.

So basically, alchemy is like a process where you can make items out of other stuff... Like if I wanted to make.. Oh, I dunno--A hat shaped like a tangerine, you could mix a tangerine, cloth which you can make out of animal fur, and then sew it using thrwad--though that's more complicated... It's easier to make potions and stuff. You can also mix traits and stuff--aghh, it's easier just to show you-- hang on a sec...

(He goes over to his shelves and picks up what looks like some sort of weird plant.)
Hey--could you just fill that flask over there with water from that tap?

(Yujinn made some quick notes while he was speaking. He looked up as he picked up the plant and went over to fill the flask.)

I recognize that plant from the vendors, but I don't think it exists on my world. What kind of properties does it have?

Ahh, thanks-- (He turned to look at Yujinn over his shoulder at the same time as trying to reach a bottle of something from the top shelf; which he managed to knock over, hitting him on the head. He swore, and bent over to pick it up.

Eh, that? Oh its called a Huffin. (He stands up again, dusting himself off) Property...? Oh, you mean it's E-Effect? um, "Healing", I think.

Ahh, I'll have to see if I can use it for something. What's in the bottle?

Oh, this? Ehh, it's just a heal jar. I made it before--spinacherb and.... water in that one, I think. Though you can get different E-Effects by using better plants.

(He takes the water, and puts it along with the plant into a large cauldron that is sitting over the fire. He checks the fire again, before wandering back over to the cupboard and throwing some more odd looking plants out, and what looks strangely like a pair of... cymbals?)

What, these? Oh, well... I'm trying to make something that heals more than one person at a time--so these give it the property of resonance. Like, if you smash them together, the sound spreads, right? I'm trying to get that sort of effect. In theory, anyway.
Oh, and this is a Yubana flower, it has healing effects, making it stronger.

And you can increase the effect of the stuff you use by adding the right element--see, the flower is water element--most healing items are--and I think these cymbals are probably earth or fire or something. It's not always easy to tell, so sometimes you have to guess. (He adds the remaining materials, and stirs it carefully.) Hey, could you pass me that empty bottle from over there? The one on the left.
