Suzaku Ibun: Mount Koku Arc, Pt. 2
Ni-hao, minna-san!
I've got quite a bit of Ibun cleaned up and (mostly) ready to go, but figuring out how best to divide the scenes has proven a little tricky. Also, I want to double-check some dialogue that happens during the Ashitare Fight Sequence. So I've decided to just give you a little bit today. It's a fun little bit, though. Enjoy!

You: We’re not having any luck, are we?
Chiriko: Searching as a group has proven to be rather inefficient.
Tasuki: Nurikoooo... What’s wrong with yer woman’s intuition?
Nuriko: Hey, now… You’re the one who was going on and on about how you were gonna show us what a mountain bandit could do in his natural habitat…
Tamahome: …Man, I just can’t count on you two for anything.
Nuriko: {anger vein} Excuse me!?
Tasuki: An’ here I thought you could sniff out money. What’s wrong? Yer trusty nose all stuffed up?
Tamahome: What, you think these people were hoarding money up here!?
…Yeah... I’m sure they weren’t...
Mitsukake: {sigh} Kids, kids, you're all very talented. You can stop fighting now.
Tamahome & Nuriko & Tasuki: Don’t treat me like a child!!
Chichiri: Well, you really are all children no da~ ♪
You: ...Hmm.
Chichiri: What’s wrong no da?
You: I was wondering how old you are, Chichiri.
Chichiri: How old do I look no da?
You: ...I really have no idea.
You: Can you just tell me?
Chichiri: {music} It’s a secret no da~ ♪

Translation notes:
This probably goes without saying, but Mitsukake doesn’t literally say “Kids, kids” (etc) But that’s totally his tone of voice, and the literal translation (“Okay, okay, you’re all useful”) didn’t quite convey (a) Mitsu’s sarcasm, and (b) why the others would be so annoyed at him, so I think I can get away with a little bit of linguistic liberties here. *waves magic wand and makes it so*
In other news, I love Mitsukake. ♥

Like I said, just a snippet. But I should have the next bit ready to go within the week, so you'll get a good-sized chunk of Ibun before much longer.
