This is a set of four drabbles from the meme requested by
dameluckypants, which I am no longer holding for ransom because she has posted the first of hers. Just a note for everyone that requested stuff; I'll be posting them all like this, one entry per person, so you'll be getting everything you asked for at one time rather than one by one.

Drabble #1 Flailing!Jack
If there was one thing to be said for Jack, it was that he had balance. It was the type of balance that only came around from knowing your own body for over a hundred years. This, however, did not seem to apply when he was talking to Rose.
For one reason or another, he would always find himself tripping over things; books in the library, seats in the theater, and unknown objects in the darkness. It wasn’t that he was particularly distracted around her, not really, but more often than not he would find himself tripping over whatever object happened to be near them, flailing rather absurdly as he tried to catch his balance and avoid the fall.
He never did.
Drabble #3 Ill!Jack
The hum of the TARDIS, while normally a pleasant sort of background noise, simply made his head pound all that much more viciously,
eyes watery and nose stuffy. He tried opening his eyes for the third time in the last hour, but again found his vision swimming to the point where it made his stomach churn and his muscles heave.
Jack didn’t get sick, he just didn’t.
Except he apparently did thanks to some virus or other the Doctor had unknowingly brought into his ship the last time they’d stopped at a tropical planet, and then Jack got sick enough to make up for all that time he spent being healthy and running around. Shivering again, he decided that as soon as he could actually sit up in bed he was going to demand chicken soup or else he’d make sure to contaminate more than just his room in the TARDIS.
Drabble# 4 Dorky!Jack
It was to be expected really, with Jack surrounded by this much technology. He’d never been a fanatic, per say, but it was hard not to be impressed when surrounded by such advance machinery. The more you knew, the more impressive the TARDIS seemed.
He would never walk around petting her console of course, that was the Doctor’s thing. Instead Jack was allowed to poke around in her circuits as long as he did more inspecting than altering, though he performed the occasional fix when the Doctor wasn’t looking. It was during one of those that Rose came into the console room and found him, half buried in wires and talking to the ship, smiling as if he was sharing his own personal inside joke.
“You are a dork, you know that? You and the Doctor both.” Jack never argued to the contrary; too busy enjoying the satisfied hum of the TARDIS as he fixed a particular wiring problem.
Drabble #5 Over-Protective!Jack
He knows it’s not his choice to make, and he really doesn’t have the right to an opinion about that, of all things. But Jack still can’t help but mentally cringe at the thought of the Master, of all people, having Rose. He never let’s on that this bothers him, especially not to her, but he still can’t help holding her just a little bit tighter, kissing her just a little bit deeper every time he has to work on getting the thought out of his mind.
She doesn’t seem to notice, and if she does she never mentions it. So Jack never brings it up and continues to act as if the fact has all but been forgotten, and every so often he really will manage to do just that.
