I urge all of you to take a moment to sign this petition calling on the government of India to guarantee access to affordable medications. African nations and others depend on India's continued production of low-cost drugs to treat AIDS, TB, malaria and other illnesses.
On Dec 26, India passed a regulation that seriously undermines generic production, but this could be reversed by the Indian Parliament after it reconvenes on Feb 26. The lead organization will continue sending on the petition names right up to the end of February. Please send this information along to your friends as well, particularly any who are from India.
