“Key look outside!” A blond haired boy yelled with fear as he peeked through the curtains. Outside was dark as a storm cloud covered the sky, turning it from his usual beautiful blue color to one of a gloomier shade. The boy nervously bounce at is spot near the widow as the wind slightly shook the glass.
“Taemin can you get away from the window and come sit?” A brown haired boy, a tad older that the other, asked from his spot on the leather couch. Key turned his gaze from the television to the other male. Then back again, as he paid close attention to the information that the warnings of a terrible storm gave him, as they flashed across the screen.
“Why?” Taemin asked as he slowly turned the face the other.
“You know how you get when it begins to storm.” Key said with a small smile as he thought back to the last time they had a storm. It had begun in the middle of the night and had woken up the younger of the two, and when Key woke, he found Taemin curled up in his bed using elder’s arm as a teddy bear.
“I’m not a little kind anymore!” Taemin replied stomping his foot in a childish manner before he came to take a seat next to the other. The elder chuckled before wrapping his arm around the other. They stayed like that, the television filling the comfortable silence, for a while. Key watched the screen as he indolently drew patterns on the other’s forearm.
“You’re awfully quiet,” Key stated after several minutes.
“ I’m watching the new.” The younger replied with a soft smile. Returning the smiled, the elder leaned down to connect their lips, but was stopped b a loud crash of thunder. The noise making the blond quickly burry his face into the other’s chest.
“Its alright Taeminnie” Key cooed as he pulled Taemin into his chest. Rain came down hard against the window where Taemin was sitting next to just minutes ago. It attacked the glass so ferociously, that it made the glass shake so hard in protest that a person would think it would crumple into multiple pieces. The sound of rain and thunder rang through out the house, along with a small cry from Taemin.
“I thought I would grow out of this.” The boy quietly stated, as he lifted his watery eyes to stare at the other. “I must look foolish.”
“No,” The other replied grabbing a hold of Taemin’s chin,” Being afraid is nothing to be ashamed of.”
“Grown men aren’t afraid of anything, why must I?” Taemin mumbled, looking down at the couch.
“Trust me; even grown men have some kind of fear.”
“A rational one though.” Another thunderclap ran through the air, making the young jump and hide in Key’s neck.
“I’m afraid of heights.” Key replied hugging Taemin even tighter to his chest.
“You are?” the boy asked, as he remembered back to all the times he had made the other go on high rides, such as the Farris Wheel, with him. The other would hold on tightly to him all through out the duration of the ride. Sighing, the elder leaned back against the couch, and brought the other with him.
“I’m terribly afraid.”
“But you face your fear, and I just cry.” Taemin said as Key wiped the tears that stained his cheeks.
“I only face it to see you smile,” Key said quietly before cupping Taemin’s blushing face. “Your smile makes everything worth while. I would go on anything high just to see you smile.” Key smiled softly before placing a sweet kiss on Taemin’s forehead. After a moment, he began to pull away, but stopped when Taemin grabbed his collar. Key opened his mouth to speak but his words were swallowed when the younger placed his lips on his. All too soon, they pulled away, and Taemin buried his face into Key’s neck.
“I Love you, Key.”
“And I love you, Taemin.”
