Just so you know: I refuse to sign the petition because, as it was mentioned in the article, it is a cultural thing. I do not believe that eating dog is unacceptable (though I have yet to try it because I have yet to encounter anyone offering it).

The thing is, it was a cultural phenomenon but do you really think you can still consider it a cultural thing now that it has become something very commercial? :/ Culture aside, I just don't believe eating dogs is right (but I guess you already knew that. After all, I did post this. :P).

I respect your opinion, though, and I'm glad you commented on this post. :)

It wouldn't have been overly commercialized had there not been a ban on the practice in the first place - capitalism, as you know, thrives on catering to what people want, and people tend to gravitate towards the illegal partially for the thrill. We could probably go on and on about this... yeah.

I mean, sure, keep the culture, but... keep the moneymaking out of it, please? :/

(Ah~ I'm quite realistic and I know breeding animals for food consumption will probably never end. XD; )

I know a Filipina girl who killed a black dog in her tub found on the street and ate it. A very bloody scene she said, doesn't know to do it. She isn't married, lol. What can you do.
