Wow, so it’s been a while.  Sorry I haven’t posted for so bloody long of a time.  I ‘guess’ I’ve been busy.

So this weekend was the big wedding I was looking forward to.  Haha, my first wedding in Japan.  It was pretty cool too.  Actually, it was awesome.  It was way cooler than any wedding I’ve ever been to in my LIFE.  The food was brought to our tables plate by plate.  (It was really good too.)  6 or 7 or 8 courses or something.  Dessert, everything.  The sashimi came in a little igloo.  Everyone got their own igloo.  The bride changed her dress 3 times.  The groom had a suit, then his police uniform.  There were speeches from each of the bosses of the bride and groom, and speeches from a friend.  One of which was Takeshi.  He did a good job, and everyone laughed.  Then they did this FABULOUS VIDEO.  They had this thing professionally made, right?  It was like a movie, no shitting you.  They went off the story of how the groom had never actually proposed to the bride so in the video all family members and friends tell him “You better propose!!!”  And then he gets on this big chase with the brother of the bride and they run all over town and to the hotel where the wedding was at, then he goes into a hotel room, gets his tux on, runs all through the hotel… then the video ends and he actually RUNS into the HALL like it was all just happening, do you get it?  And he came in with flowers and stuff and proposed to her (even though they were already married) right there in front of everyone. It was SO terribly cool.  This video was just great, and everyone was dying laughing and crying and so on.  Oh geez and then we got a big bag of parting gifts… a beautiful plate, some snacks, some other stuff.  It was great.  It was just the best experience ever, and we really liked it a lot.  I got to talk to some acquaintances of Takeshi’s and stuff and it was just really funny and great.  Absolutely wonderful.  These people must have a ton of money, well, now they must.  That’s the gift.  Everyone brings them hundreds and hundreds of dollars.  I am too embarrassed to tell you how much we paid to attend this wedding.  It’s just what you do here.  But… they’ll all pay us when we get married.  So there… that was it.  We didn’t take ONE bloody picture.  I am STUPID.

So it's Wednesday now... the reason that I haven't been posting is because I've been BUSY!  This week Monday was a national holiday and Takeshi and I went out and did that damn thing.  We first went to a park and ate Mos Burger.  It's a beautiful park and we sat and watched turtles in a pond and we went down by a river and watched some birds for a while.  But we wanted more nature action so we went to a podunky town called Shionoe.  This city is famous for onsens... But we went and got this great ice cream that was just delicious.  And then we drove up into the mountains towards a campground.  When we got there, finally, it was quite beautiful.  All green and covered, and there is a beautiful river.  I sat with my feet in the river sitting on a rock making statues out of rocks.  Haha.  I found some old crab claws as well.  Takeshi didn't want to get in the river with me and that was STUPID.  He wore shoes.  So he took some pictures and it was just lovely.  Then he took me to the park near Takamatsu airport and we partook in something that I will probably never do again.  That is GRASS SKIING.  You get all decked out in pads and then they give you ski boots and they hook you into these big roller skis.  Then you ski down a big grassy hill.  Haha.  It was rediculous.  It was really hot and my face turned bright red and the Japanese people laughed at me.  Takeshi and I both wiped out a number of times... running into walls and stuff.  The old guy working there worked really hard trying to teach us turning and so on.  But that put me in a real weird mood and I just wanted to get the hell out of there after a while with my red ass.

After this we had okonomiyaki for dinner and went out on the town on our bikes.  We wanted to rock out, but we were way tired.  Pappy was out of it by the end of the night.  All in all it was a lovely day.  I had the most fun at the river.  I hope pa takes me there again.

Today was my first day at ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.  I really wigged out about this like I always do... I was really nrvous cause it was my first time, and I've been busy busy all my days with planning the lessons.  But it turned out to be really cool.  The kids were great and I  had a lot of fun.  I will actually look forward to going back.  Happy HappY!!!

So that's about it.  I will try to keep up with my postage.  Ha.  But for now, you will find some random stuff I wrote last week below.  Mmk?  Love you, bye.
