original SEES ☆ Persona 3 FES / Portable.
Arisato Minato
MEISTER (★), SOUL SEAL
BFF, and the friend who Junpei really truly sees as a friend. Minato's the guy who knows him best, and has helped him go through his worst days in the days of SEES. His death on graduation day is something that Junpei has come to regret in his heart, and so seeing him now all well and everything is... surprising, to say the least. As much as it is strange (and though they both know of what will happen), Minato is still Minato and still his best friend no matter what, and so Junpei will stand by him regardless of anything.
Though their meeting was only for a moment and Minato was soon returned back to their world by BREW, Junpei is still nevertheless glad for the fact that he got to see his good friend at least one more time. Though he knows (in a way) of what will happen to his best friend the moment he's home, he's glad for the chance that at least he got to see him one last time - and he knows now better than ever the choice that his friend made for the world they live in. And now that BREW has seemingly returned him once again, Junpei's just glad to see his friend once more.

Arisato Minako
MEISTER (★), SOUL BFF
He really had to see it to believe, and its true - there are alternate worlds out there, and Minako's proof of that. Apparently she's some strange female version of Minato that existed in an alternate Iwatodai, something which Junpei still has to sort of come to terms with. But for the most part she seems like a great girl and fun to talk to as well, and from her Junpei can sense a friendship that's not unlike Minato's - sure she's a girl, but she's still great to talk with nevertheless. The whole 'Minato-Minako' thing does creep him out a little, but Junpei supposes he'll deal with it in time.
Dealt with it he has, and its shown that Minako is as every bit of a leader that Minato is, even with their differences. They've grown quite close through their many conversations, and Minato's return by BREW brought them closer as well. Still that aside, now that he's told Shinjiro about the fate that awaits both Arisatos Junpei can't help but wonder what might happen for them next...

Aigis
MEISTER (★), SOUL ARMOR [RETURNED]
Having arrived the same time as him, Junpei feels a lot better knowing that Aigis is around. She's already been a good friend in SEES, and to have her around in this strange place is equally comforting for him. They've been through a lot together after all, and it goes without to say that Aigis is one of Junpei's most closest friends, just as with the rest of SEES. At least knowing that he isn't the only one pulled at the same time makes him feel better, and they can relate to each other about things and the like which they can share. She's also come a long way from being that strange robot chick she was back in Yakushima, and in a way Junpei's really surprised at how much she's actually changed as well. Things really have changed... but its too bad that she's returned. It would have been nice to have more familiar faces around.

Sanada Akihiko
MEISTER (★), MANLY SOUL [RETURNED]
...its really really weird to know somebody who isn't exactly the somebody who you know. He may be Akihiko-senpai still, but he's also at the same time not exactly the same Akihiko-senpai who Junpei is familiar with. The alternate from Minako's world, Junpei has to admit that its... strange... to meet somebody who you should know but kind of totally don't at the same time. Sure things might be the same, but there's just this difference that just, well, feels different. This whole Minako and Minato thing is really weird, but Junpei can only try and deal with it. Still, its assuring to see that Akihiko-senpai's just about as derpy as ever in his usual ways. Junpei's always respected him a lot, and even this isn't the exact same Akihiko-senpai he knows the respect is still there. Its too bad that BREW returned him so quickly though - it would have been nice to hang out more with him.

Aragaki Shinjiro
PARTNERED MEISTER (★), SOUL ARMOR
Not exactly the same Shinjiro-senpai who Junpei knows, considering that he's from Minako's world. Still, its a shock all the same to see that he's alive, and it seems that Shinjiro himself is aware of it as well. He's still pretty much as grumpy as ever, but under that grump Junpei can sort of sense that Shinjiro-senpai has a little something for Minako. He's not that all certain, but after going through the whole hoohaa that was Chidori and Strega he's pretty sure that something is there, at least. He'll be working on it slowly in time, but aside from that Shinjiro-senpai's just as inspiring as ever, Minato or Minako. Junpei really hopes that he can be as badass as him one day.
In light of Minato's return due to BREW and in an ensuing conversation, Junpei was forced to divulge the events of the Fall unto Shinjiro who had until then been unaware of the fate that would befall the Arisatos. Now that he's said it out though, the teenager can only be worried at how this will affect things. He really hopes that in all means and accounts, this will go well... somehow. A part of him isn't so sure, but he's hoping.

Takeba Yukari
MEISTER (★), SOUL BANDAID [RETURNED]
After Minato, Yukari's pretty much the next best friend who Junpei has. They may fight and bicker and quarrel over many many things, but in a way that's a sign of their friendship by itself. Junpei's always held Yukari in high regard (even if he may not show it), and in his own way he does respect her and treasure her as a close friend.
While he can't say that he fully understand her pain with her family, in his own way he can relate to that as well. That aside, they've been together for a while and they've fought together as comrades and friends in their fight against the Shadows and Nyx; its brought them close as a team, and really - Junpei's happy that he can see Yukari again. Even if he may tease and make fun of her, its just his way of showing that he cares, and he'll definitely look out for her the best he can. She hasn't lived through the pain of losing Minato yet, so Junpei knows its up to him to make things better for her, one way or another.
Unfortunately though she has since returned, but it was nice to see her while she was here.

Yamagishi Fuuka
WEAPON, DEMON EMF METER
Once a shy and timid girl, Fuuka has changed a lot since then - something Junpei has long since noticed and in a way is envious about it because he can't see his own change that much. But still, she's always been reliable from the start back when they were still battling the Shadows, and she's never failed before. For that, Junpei does thank her. Just like with the rest of SEES they have grown close as comrades, and it was Fuuka who gave him that push he needed in the first place to let him make the decision to battle Nyx and save humanity. He is really thankful for that, and one can bet that he will be by Fuuka's side should she ever need to support. She seems to be here before at least, and is familiar with things in Death City... Junpei supposes he should talk with her one day, at least to maybe know more about the previous him that was in here.

Yoshino Chidori
WEAPON, DEMON CHAINED HATCHET
...oh man, how do we even begin here? Junpei's feelings for Chidori are simple, plain and true - he's loved her from the start (even if he didn't realize it off the bat), and he's always been loving her even after she gave up her life for him. It was Chidori who enabled him to change, it her Chidori who helped make him become the guy who he is today. It was Chidori who gave him that strength, and it was because of Chidori that's he still living and breathing. She died for him when Takaya shot him, and that's always been a regret that weighs heavily on Junpei's mind; he knows very well that she died because of him, and a part of him has always resented himself for that fact.
Chidori's appearance in Death City is nothing short of shocking for him - doubly so, because he knows that she was taken before the time of her death. He knows that he'll need to break to her someday, but he doesn't know how or where to begin about that; and even moreso, he's afraid of how she'll react. He's already lost her once before, and Junpei has no intention of doing so again. Perhaps it might be a cruel joke played on him, or perhaps it might be BREW fulfilling his deepest wish... but regardless of what it is, Junpei is going to seize this chance the best he can. Maybe here, in this world, he can finally spend his time with Chidori properly and create good and fond memories with her - because she needs them, and because she deserves them.

Amada Ken
WEAPON, DEMON DART GUN
...how does he say this? It is undoubtedly a bit... stressing... that Ken is from a time way earlier then most of them, where has not gotten over his issues with Shinjiro-senpai and is still filled with so much regret. Junpei has already long since looked at Ken as his own little brother, and to see Ken like this does affect Junpei quite a bit as well. He knows its not going to be easy making Ken see what is right again, but damn if he doesn't try and doesn't go out to help Ken, because now that he knows what the kid went through there's nothing he can do but to help. Seeing Ken suffering is one of the few things he doesn't like to see, and whatever it may take or whatever sacrifices he might have to make, he will help Ken no matter what. He's seen enough of regrets already, and he doesn't want to see them again here, not when he's not supposed to.

expanded SEES ☆ SEES, death city edition
Seta Souji
PARTNERED MEISTER (★), CALMING WAVELENGTH
The de-facto leader of the 'expanded' SEES in Death City, and by all means a pretty cool guy. Junpei finds it easy to talk to him, and to be honest he's not that all bothered with the fact that Souji's the 'leader'; after everything's he's been through, Junpei has at least shaped up from that time. That aside, Souji's great and really chill, and Junpei does like him quite a bit as a friend; and hey, if Minato's his friend and trusts him, then Junpei himself doesn't see a reason as to why he shouldn't do the same as well. Sure Souji's younger than him, but a year doesn't make that bad of a difference as he might have thought once upon a time. He'll help around with Souji the best he can, and also at the same time show the awesome that is Iori Junpei.

Hanamura Yosuke
PARTNERED WEAPON, HEADPHONES + METEOR HAMMER [RETURNED]
A pretty nice guy by all accounts, though at times he seems a bit jumpy. Still, he's been fun to talk to, and Junpei can sort of sense a strange sort of kinship between the brunette and himself. He isn't so sure about what this feeling is about, but Junpei thinks he clicks quite well with the other. For now they haven't had many chances to know each other yet, but hopefully that can be changed in time - Junpei himself is looking forward to that too. The headphones kind of remind him of Minato, but not too much; Yosuke seems much more open than Minato could be, at least. Together they conducted version two of OPERATION BABE HUNT... which while was hardly that all successful, at least brought them together as friends. It was a shame that he returned though - there was so much more they could have done.

From Inaba, presumably with Souji's team back there. Junpei, for now, has no idea that Naoto is actually a 'she' and thinks that she's a 'he', and boy will he be surprised when he knows. That aside Naoto does strike him as one of the serious types - something close to Mitrusu-senpai, only lesser - but still, she's well-meaning enough to be polite and they're not on too bad terms, really. He's a bit interested to know more about Souji's adventures and all now, seeing Naoto and a few more people who Souji knows - he knows that they have Shadows too, but he doesn't really know just how much they play into things. Junpei supposes he'll know in time, but for now getting a good relationship with Naoto shouldn't prove to be a bad thing at all.

One of the girls who Junpei met during the second edition of OPERATION BABE HUNT at the Maldives. By all accounts Vanille's a really nice girl and Junpei had a nice chat with her (though things got a bit awkward when the topic of Chidori came up). She comforted him a little about Chidori too, even though he really wasn't that all clear in his words. Still, for that Junpei does appreciate and fine Vanille a good friend, and one of the first few since his arrival here in Death City. With the knowledge that she shares a similar fate with Minato though does make him sympathize with her quite a bit, and in turn makes him resolve to be an even better friend than before since Minato's now returned by BREW.

WEAPON, DEMON BAZOOKA
...somewhat... strange in several ways (like those ears), but aside from that and her strange fascination with technology (Junpei's pretty certain that she and Fuuka would get along swimmingly) Momo's not that bad at all. Strange and totally somebody Junpei least expected himself to get along with, but well stranger things have happened anyway, and it isn't as if Momo's that all bad. Strange yes, but not bad. She's good to talk with, and he likes that - and also hopes they can contiune to be friends for as long as they can manage it.

Lili Rochefort
MEISTER (★), SOUL ADRENALINE
Something of a strange girl, though of course Junpei supposes he has seen strange. Still, there are at times when she rubs off him in the wrong way (mainly due to her attitude more often than not), but he can look past that and attempt to be a friend to her especially since she and Minato seemed to be close before BREW took him away. Junpei knows of course that he can't be the kind of friend that Minato is to everybody, but he'll do his best anyway. At least it seems that for the moment, things are working out between them so he's hoping for the best down in the near future as well. Perhaps something might happen then.
