Life me up love, everyday
"an inner strength resides in everyone...its just recognizing that we have that inner strength with us always. the human being is meant to adapt to pretty much any situation. that's why people can deal with seeing horrible things such as the violence in wars. if we had to experience it, we would adapt. there's no other choice
i was reading a book about this man who's sailboat sunk in the middle of the atlantic ocean, 1800 miles away from any land. he drifted for 76 days, fighting hunger, equipment failure, malnutrition, disease, thirst. in this book, he said people asked him how he could keep going, keeping himself alive. he said it was because, "it was either struggle to live, or death there was no other choice. and frankly, struggling to live was easier than giving up."
we have to keep going, you know? there's no other choice. we've got a life to live, only a small fraction of which we have experienced
you only have to live with your mother for the rest of this year. then you're out. you're free from that aspect of your life. life is going to open up more than we can imagine after high school no matter if we go to college or not anyway, that's my view on it.
