1st Sphere - Unknown Territory

[Yuna awakens in her new Mayfield bed sometime around midmorning. It takes her a moment to sift through the groggy haze to realize she can't hear the thrum of the Celsius' engine, nor the familiar sounds of any of Spira's villages. She quickly moves to the logical conclusion

((OOC: Actually, it was usually 'Sir Jecht' with Yuna. Not a big deal, but I figured you'd want to get it straight with her.))

[Jecht's already at work by the time Yuna wakes up, but she'll probably catch him wandering around town during the high school's lunch period, stretching his legs and enjoying being away from the drone kids in his gym class for a while. He hasn't seen her for over 10 years at this point, so he doesn't particularly recognize her beyond a 'hey, never seen her around before' sort of glance as he passes her by on the sidewalk.]

[[OOC: Yeah, derped up, remembered "Lady" being used a lot and my mind borked. Really need to replay both those games again...9 too....CURSE MY PS2 BACKLOG!]]

[Yuna's wanderings had brought her closer to the school. The people seemed like an odd mix to her; the random assortment of the taken and the far too clean drones that flashed too wide and too white smiles at her, forcing a nervous returned wave. Her eyes widened however when she saw the dark skinned man walk past. Turning to look at him, it took a moment to get her mouth moving]

Sir Jecht! You ARE here!

[Jecht's first reaction, of course, is confusion. He knows that title. 'Sir Jecht.' Besides Garnet, who adopted it almost automatically, he was only ever called that by other people from Spira. It came with the territory of being a Summoner's Guardian. By the time his group had reached Zanarkand, they were fairly famous around Spira, so it's not unlikely that someone else from his world would know his name. Still, he can't help but feel there's something a little deeper at work here.]

"Yup, that's me. The Great Sir Jecht, at yer service."

[Grins and thumbs his chest proudly. If this girl is a fan, he's got to do his best to make sure she's suitably impressed, after all.]

[It's a shame her normal outfit was taken away when she arrived here or he would have also been greeted by the Zanarkand Abes logo that she wore as part of her Gunner top. She looked around again, this didn't look like the Farplane, but this definitely wasn't Spira or Jecht and Tidus's Zanarkand either. The words the fayth had said...maybe this was what they meant. Maybe HE was here too!]

Sir Jecht, is this the Farplane....is Tidus here too?

[Well... that explains a couple of things. If she's talking about Tidus, she must be from after Braska's Pilgrimage. Ten years after, if what Auron told him back in April was right. Jecht just shrugs, shaking his head.]

"This ain't the Farplane, missy, and I ain't dead yet. As for the runt..."

[Pauses a moment.]

"...haven't seen him in a while."

[Yuna's eyes widen at the tone. Jecht is certainly sounding more like how he did when he first traveled with Braska, and the stories Tidus told her, than their final encounter at the end. Of course, this makes her forget to delve deeper into the question of where they are.]

The runt? Sir Jecht, your son saved all of Spira, you were there!

[Scratches at the back of his head. Yep. Definitely from after his time.]

"Uh... yeah. That hasn't happened for me yet. I was just about to fight Sin, and then I woke up here."

[Folds his arms, tilting his head to the side.]

"...So. Somethin' about you seems damn familiar. Care to clue me in?"

[He hasn't bothered to look hard enough at her face yet, assuming she kept her heterochromia here.]

[Yuna's eyes widened as she began to piece things together, at least as much as she could. This wasn't the Jecht they had fought inside Sin but somehow the one she met as a child! But if he's saying he hadn't fought Sin yet then....]

Sir Jecht, it's me, Yuna! Braska's daughter!

[[OOC: Deciding now that her hair is back to the way it was in FFX and her eyes are both blue as there is suitable symbolism. Will go back and edit the inital post]

"Yuna?"

[There is no small amount of surprise in his voice, and he leans in to squint at her face.]

"...Huh. Town changed your eyes."

[He's kind of at a loss for words. Should he hug her? What do you say to someone you haven't seen for 10 years?]

"Geez, you sure grew up pretty. Braska'd be proud."

[Yuna smiles, but there's a tinge of sadness at the mention of her father.]

"Yes, thank you."

[Clearly talking about Tidus wouldn't get anywhere right now but his comment about her eyes reminded her]

"Sir Jecht, I woke up an hour ago in a house that had pictures of you and me all over it. What IS this place? If it's not the Farplane, then where on Spira are we?"

"Pictures of you and me?"

[And Jecht's eyes go wide again before he slaps himself in the forehead, shaking his head back and forth.]

"Some sense of humor this town has..."

[Sighs and shrugs, looking back at her.]

"We're not on Spira at all. This town's called Mayfield. Somehow, people end up trapped here. They just wake up here like you did. Same thing happened to me. They set people up in cozy little fake families, with fake husbands and wives and kids. Guess the town decided you're my wife today."

[Yuna looks even more shocked after the explanation]

You and me? But...no...this doesn't...

[She shakes her head and then furrows her brow, clenching her fist]

We have to get out of here.

[Jecht can't help but laugh at Yuna's response. It's funny in a strange way that she'd get so flustered over the idea.]

"Heh... didn't think I was that bad lookin' of a guy."

[She shakes her head]

No, it's not that, I've just spent the last two years trying to track down Tidus...because...well...

[Her cheeks turn red from a bit of embarassment, but she's also unsure what she should tell Jecht about the time he's missed and what has yet to happen to him and his son]

"...Because what?"

[Yuna's more or less an open book emotionally, so Jecht's pretty sure he knows what she's getting at here. But he wants to confirm it for himself.]

"And whaddaya mean track him down? Did you lose him or somethin'?"

Because they totaly did it in Macalania Forest

[Yuna keeps blushing but manages to at leasst get the base bit out]

Well...Sir Jecht...I'm in love with your son.

[BLUSH]

But after we stopped Sin once and for all....he vanished. I don't mean he ran away, I mean he...well it's complicated...I thought I found some clues on where to find him, but then I ended up here.
