The matrix (all of them)fucking suck
I dont update often, if at all. But, I have found something that is going to make it so I update often. I am turning my livejournal into my own personal movie reviewing site. I watch a shitload of movies every week, so, I figured this is perfect. Please note, I will also be reviewing movies that are old, and not in the theatre, and, also, please note, most reviewers i.e. Bill Muller, are really dumb, and dont know anything. I am the exact opposite. So, lets get this show on the road.
I recently had the misfortune of watching the matrix revolutions. and it sucked. A lot. It was probably one of the stupidest movies ever made. It had a shitty plot, shitty acting, and was altogther terrible. The movie once again revolves around neo, trinity, morpheus, and the whole gang. Which is really too bad, because they're characters stopped being cool before the beginning of time. In a nutshell, Agent Smith is really fucking things up in the Matrix, that is, hes taking it over. The machines are working their way into zion, which is where all the humans not jacked into the matrix live. So, Neo has to take care of Smith, and everyone else either helps him, or helps in the effort to keep the machines out of Zion. The movie really shines when its depicting the fight for Zion. The special effects are great, thats about it though. The special effects throughout the rest of the film are horrible, such as in the final fight between Neo and Agent Smith. Five year old kids do a better job of drawing than they did in depicting people fighting hundreds of feet up in the air. (Which is really retarded by the way).
So, the movie drags on for an excruciating two and a half hours or something, and I was dying. It sucked so bad, the acting got worse and worse, and there was one part, where I swear, Keanu Reeves was tapping into the long lost spirit of Ted Theodore Logan. It would have been awesome if he had, because then the movie would have been good. Bottom line, this movie sucked really bad, really bad.
On another note, all the matrix movies suck. I dont know why no one else has said it, but the wachowski brothers just ripped of the terminator movies, and made another film under another name. Here is why
1. In the Matrix, there is a big nuclear fall out, but instead of the machines doing it, like in the Terminator, the humans did it.
2. The Matrix is Man vs. Machine, so is the Terminator. The only difference is that in the matrix, the machines need humans for power. where as in the Terminator, they just wasnt to kill humans and wipe them out. Which, really, if you watch the matrix, the machines are trying to do that anyway
3. In the Matrix, there is one person, one man, he shall be the savior of mankind from the machines, his name is Neo, and hes a big fag. In the Terminator, there is one person, one man, he shall be the savior of mankind, his name was John Conner, and he fucking rules.
4. If you think about it, all the agents are are terminators, but instead of being robots out killing people, they are computer progams out killing people.
5. Morpheus to Neo is really just like the character of Reese to Sarah Conner, or the T101 to John Conner. A protector, a sort of mentor, so on so forth. The difference, Reese fucking rules the universe, since he was brilliantly played by Michael Biehn, who is awesome and I think is underrated as an actor. Take a look at his roles in Aliens (As Hicks) or Tombstone (As Jonny Ringo) if you dont believe me. He is awesome. And of course the T101 is awesome too. Morpheus is not.
The only real difference is there is the matrix. If it werent for that, the movies would be a complete and total rip off of the terminator series. Fuck the Matrix, I didnt really even like the first one, and I am a huge sci-fi geek.
