YOU ARE AMAZING! This was a totally new way to tell a story for you, and I have to say I was hooked from the beginning. So different from everything else I've read from you and it works really well for me.

I adore your Kris voice here and getting inside his head. In a way the storytelling was almost, argh, I can't think of a good word, passive-like? Very low on action and totally concentrated on thoughts and feelings. Really, really loved it.

You always have a lot of little details that sell the story for me, this time it was this: After a minute he starts humming a little bit, as if warning me that he’s about to break the silence. People do that!

Oh, and you have a lowercase I here: the exact same way that i look at him.

This was great, I liked how it was about Kris's viewpoint, how subjectively Kris thought about how he felt and what he did. None of that high school posse cliche thing, but more genuine teenage self-centrism.

p.s. by the way, outside the lj-cut nothing sans your icon gives any hint about what fandom the fic is ;)

This story weirdly reminded me of a situation I had in high school. Wow talk about taking me make to a simpler time and place where we made everything in life complicated. LOL
