What an eventful week this has been. I FINALLY got my loan money, which was more than exciting :) That was on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, I went to Howard Properties to figure out what the deal was with my apartment. I walked out of that office practically in shock. She had not only leased out our three bedroom apartment, but also the two bedroom we were supposed to be moving into. Apparently they had mailed us a lease for a 2 bedroom in April...yeah, we definitely never got anything. Crazy, but almost a stroke of luck because now I was going to be able to get the one bedroom apartment that I had been dreaming of :) So luckily Debra (from Howard Properties) had two one-bedroom availabilities she could show me.
After an interesting day of crisis intervention school stuff, I went to check out these two apartments. Oh, and also I had to break the news to Aubrey. She took it ok, considering the stressful circumstances it put her in. Back to the apartments...the first one she took me to look at sucked! It was way back in the woods, which worries me as far as bugs go, and it was tiny. So I was hoping that the next one was a bit better. The next one was a basement apartment right across from the baseball fields and extremely close to where I am currently living. This was a definite benefit considering I absolutely love living in the five points area and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. So the inside was much more spacious than the previous. It had tile floors, a very large room with 2 closets and an additional office area that houses the hot water heater. There is even an area for a dining room, unlike the other apt. I fell in love with it (as much is possible coming from a practically brand new apartment). It doesn't have a washer/dryer, which it is hard for me to imagine living without. The appliances are pretty antique looking, but I figured I could definitely make it my own and enjoy it :) I can even have pets there, so Bailey is no problem. So I'm pretty excited about my new apartment!
On Saturday, we were supposed to do the houseboat thing with Chris' cousin and his wife. The plans for Saturday just kept changing. We ended up not spending the night, on a boat with 3 kids, and getting lost for like a couple hours. Wow. But we ended up having a lot of fun! It was my first time hanging out with Chris' fiance, Lauren, and I had a great time! I look forward to spending more time with them. Also, in a crazy turn of events...Dustin is going to move in with me! So it's make or break time ;) I'm really looking forward to it. We've already been talking about decorating and stuff. It's crazy how quick we are having to move out and move in. I'm looking forward to cooking for him and stuff. Yay! It'll be a good learning process and the financial aspect is excellent. I'm really happy. This is what I had originally wanting. I'm hoping for the best, and I think it'll be great. Crazy weekend...i hate packing but it's nice to clean out my room. And I'm looking forward to decorating and making a homey apartment for Dustin and I :)
