Biography:
Coming from a wealthy family of artists and business men and women, it was only inevitable that Kim Bum did the same. Not like other rich boys that didn't want to do what their parents wanted to do, he actually enjoyed arts and crafts. He took more from his grandfather though. He loved pottery, and he seemed to have a gift in ceramics, pottery, and sculpting.
Half his family were artists and half were in the business, and together, who knew that they'd be quite successful. They're family was well known for their pottery, sculptures and ceramics, and most of their products were sold to other wealthy clients. At a young age, it was obvious that he would have wonderful skills with his hands. Being with his grandfather all the time, more than his own father, he idolized his grandfather. Bum would always spend time with him and watch him sculpt or make pottery, and he with his own little blob of clay, would try to make something of his own.
In elementary school, he was quiet and shy, and he would mostly keep to himself. He'd be the little kid at the corner, playing with clay or drawing, just making anything he could with his hands. In middle school, he was a little more talkative, but he was still not that outgoing. He had his own charms at a young age, but that was not until he entered high school. It wouldn't be fun if he were one of those kids that did exactly what their parents told him to do. No, of course not. Once he entered high school, he changed. He got out more, made new friends, and clicked with everyone. Most of all, he was known as the Casanova and Playboy of the school. Granted, he did go to an all boy's school, it seemed like he would be Eros or something since he would always be seen outside of school with more than one girl at a time.
High school was a time for sex, bad decisions, sex, and drugs and sex. His parents started to hate him both for giving them a bad name because everyone would know about Kim Bum and how he acted in school. Even teachers hated him because he did not pay attention, yet he passed every class with flying colors. It was like he didn't have to try, and he really didn't. Academics just came to him, he didn't even know why. He hated studying, but to him, everything seemed to be common sense even though his passion was art. High school was also a time for new experiences, where he became bi curious. How would it be to have sex with a guy? To kiss another guy? When it happened, boy did he love it. After that, he continued on getting with both guys and girls.
He was never one to commit to relationships. Boyfriends and girlfriends alike. More than he did with boyfriends, he cheated on almost every girlfriend. Did he care? Not at all. Does he regret it now? Nope. The only difference then and now is that now he doesn't cheat on anyone. He just can't hold a relationship for longer than 2 months. He was just that type of guy. But there was one girl. After meeting her and getting to know her, they started going out officially when she was a freshman and he was a junior, and she was the only girl he did not cheat on. Maybe he loved her, who knows, but even if he did, he definitely would deny it forever. After their break up, they still spoke to each other and are still very close friends. Thank God for that at least.
Even though Kim Bum did such things in high school, he was still able to keep up with his studies and still able to have amazing skills with his hands. He was creative, and sometimes his grandfather would tell him that he was a better potter than he ever was at his age. Once he graduated high school, he decided to try to study abroad for a while, but that didn't last. He studied in America for a while but he didn't like it. Though he's met a bunch of people and.. another bunch of flings, he still wanted to go to school in his home country. There, he transferred to Yonseii to start his sophomore year to complete his bachelor's in Fine arts and ceramics & pottery. After graduating Yonseii, he continued on to grad school to get his masters in Art Management and Art History.
Now in his second year of grad school, he was enjoying himself. He had his own studio, where he made and sold his own pottery, sculptures and ceramics, and where he also held a few classes if people ever wanted to learn for fun. But... still a party boy after high school, he partied all the time during his undergrad years, and continued to party his grad years. Even with partying, he had no trouble with keeping up with his success
Personality:
A playboy. A charmer, good with his words and actions. He was known for getting with plenty of girls and guys. It was no secret at all, and he didn't care. He liked it that way. He very much enjoyed the attention of being known as such a thing. But behind that, lies a dorky a weird little boy at heart. He was a bit of a geek. He loved reading mangas and comics, and sometimes he even went to conventions where he would dress up as his favorite characters, or characters he didn't even know but thought he'd look good in. But other than mangas and comics, he did like to read other books for fu.
He loves wearing suits and he knows he looks good in them. Though he does wear casual clothes, there are still many chances where he is seen wearing suits, even if he had no place to go.
Bum could be a little egotistical and narcissistic, but that was one of his charms at times. But he knew when to stop. Because he was known as a Cassanova, he knew how to sweet talk both males and females. And he was clever, for he did his research before getting into a full on conversation with every guy or girl he'd talk to. He was smart like that, and that was also how it was quite easy to be friends with him.
Although he was pretty much a huge flirt he was still dorky and really friendly and easy to talk to. Sometimes he could look like a stuck up asshole (which.. he pretty much is a lot of times, but that's besides the point), but other times he could be a huge dork and little boy. He had a cute side to him that only a select few knew of, but everyone would know how friendly he was. He could be talkative, but he could also be that guy you could just sit down and talk to when you had problems. If you had problems and you need someone to talk to? Call Kim Bum, and he'd be right there for you to listen to you and try to help
Some of his hobbies include racing and boxing. Boxing was something he had picked up early on in high school, but racing was something he picked up on during his year in college in America. He kept on with boxing, and when he came back to Korea, he bought himself a 2008 Lotus Exige s420. He loved his car and he would not trade it for anything. He did like racing more than he did boxing. Whenever he could, he would race with a few friends at a track, and of course he had no problem at all bringing a boy or girl along with him for a little cruise. He also models as a side job and loves animals.
