[ History ] :
You can read it here [ Personality ] :
Wally is as much of a teenage boy as a teenage boy can get.
Huh? You need more than that? Alright, alright. Let’s see then... He’s an excitable young man, that doesn’t hide his enthusiasm when you get him going, which also brings out his impatience. A good example of this is presented right in the first episode, where he’s excited and giddy about joining the Justice League, and shows his frustration over the things delaying him and the Flash, such as super-villian robbing a jewelry store. To add to that, he’s also impulsive and prone to act out on his own if he thinks he should. Oh, and let’s not forget that he tends to have a pretty high opinion of himself, as seen when he warns someone needing to probe his mind by saying “try not to let its brilliance overwhelm you”.
On the other hand, he’s actually not that bad to have around if you get on his good side (which isn’t that hard), if you don’t mind what was mentioned above, and constant flirting if you’re of the female sex. The latter of which deserves a special because of the lengths to which he’s willing to go to impress a girl, which can include lying about what he believes in, even right after it got him in trouble, or asking a woman out while rescuing her from assassins. Get on his bad side from the get go though (which again... Not that hard. He’s easy to antagonize), and even the hottest girl ever will be safe from his advances, earning snide comments instead, at least until he gets more or less over it.
He can also be a bit of a kid sometimes. I mean, he collects souvenirs form his missions, and gets upset when there’s none. But again, he’s not a bad guy. He reassures Superboy that he’s still cool when he finds out he can’t fly, offers him a place to stay while the Justice League tries to figure out what the hell they should do with him, and when Robin tells him his secret identity despite Batman’s instructions not to, he keeps the secret, without even hinting that he knows.
Another thing about him is that he’s stubborn. If he believes something, he will argue it for as long as he can. Magic is a particularly sore subject for him, since he doesn’t believe in it, and tries to find a scientific explanation for everything attributed to magic. This stems form a need to control what he can’t comprehend, and his denial of the existence of magic is the last vestige of such. On the other hand, as mentioned above, he’s perfectly willing to pretend to believe in its existence if it’ll impress a girl he has his eye on.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Despite whatever preconceptions you may have from your first contact with him, Wally is not at all stupid. While not outright stated in the show itself (it’s in his character profile in the show’s website, although in the episode where magic is brought up, he shows quite a knowledge of it), he’s a science prodigy, capable of perfectly recreating a freak lab incident that would grant someone super-speed. Which leads us to his next strength, his super-speed. While the show hasn’t specified just how fast he can be, it’s been said that he can break the sound barrier, so he can be at least faster than sound, and he’s shown creating mini-tornadoes by spinning around.
Unfortunately, he’s not very good at using said super-speed yet, as he can only stop by gradually decelerating, which can has lead to painful situations (i.e. crashing against walls that he didn’t notice until too late/doors that suddenly closed).
He also has a very fast metabolism thanks to his super-speed, which means he needs to eat more than a regular human being. If he doesn’t, he can’t use his powers as effectively. On the other hand, he’s been shown eating burned food with no ill effect, as well as speed eating a bowl of ice-cream with no brain freeze, so he may be able to eat most stuff with no ill effects. Canon from the tie-in comic book also says he has some form of resistance to mind altering effects thanks to it, since he can “sort through” them faster than others.
Last but no least, he can vibrate his molecules to go through walls. However, when he does that, he gets a bloody nose.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
He apparently carries his suit and gear with him at all times, although we are never shown where he carries it. Among his gear are a pair of goggles that protect his eyes from debris when in super-speed, and also double as binoculars, with extras such as infra-red vision.
