today, bright and early (well not so really bright), i woke my baby up for our mommy-daughter day at the polls. my daughter has voted 5 times in her 5 years on this earth. president in 2004, mayor, governor, primaries and the 2008 election. she’s a seasoned expert.
i got to my polling location at 6:20 this morning. waited in line until about 8 am when I was next to cast my ballot. it was definitely worth it although our poll workers are the most dysfunctional, unorganized mofos ever, LOL.
i went to the post office this morning. the postal worker asked me had i voted. i proudly responded “Yes, Ma’am”. i STRONGLY believe in voting. excuses don’t mean shit to me. i expect everyone and everybody to vote. i am deeply indebted to those who came before me…those that gave their lives for me…those that suffered physical abuse for me…those that fought day-in and day-out for me. i have to give back. NO EXCUSES.
i did my part, have you?
