It's getting really bad out there. I almost would think it's good that they cancelled Quidditch, even if it's the only thing that I'm good at, just because we need to devote a lot of time to Duelling Club if we're going to be able to survive once we leave Hogwarts. If we even get to leave Hogwarts, I mean.

Justin Finch-Fletchley's angry at me about the snake thing from second year, still, but then, I think a lot of people aren't happy with me lately. Sorry. I've just been feeling a little under the weather. It's probably because of a head cold or something, nothing to worry about.

I'm really tired. Amelia Bones - she was a good person. She was at a trial of mine a few years ago; I can just. She didn't deserve to die. I'll be at the service tomorrow. I hope that everyone else is there as well, with the exception of slimy Slytherins intending to ruin it. I know how big events at this school go; if anyone does anything wrong, you'll have to deal with me in addition to Dumbledore and anyone else. I just don't understand how people can still go around laughing and playing games when there's a war. Lavender says that I'm too serious all of the time, and that I'm going to have a heart attack when I'm thirty, but I think that she made that up. She said she saw it in my stars, or something, though. Then again, I should be lucky to make it to thirty, so it was pretty nice of her to say so.

Snape was glaring at me extra hard in class today. I suppose that means that Dumbledore told him about the Occulmency lessons already. I'm not looking foward to that.

I keep seeing it, in my head. I guess that shows that I'm even crazier than everyone thinks, if I'm seeing things in my head. I keep seeing the wands, and - I just keep seeing it. She didn't even get a chance to scream.

Now I have to deal with Snape. I don't know if I can handle all this. Ron and Hermione are trying to do what they think is best, but I don't really want to talk about it. It's nice to talk to Mellie; she doesn't know anything. She cares, but she just doesn't know. Maybe I should tell her, we're getting to be good friends, and she'd be okay about it, I know that. But it's nice having someone outside of the three of us. Not because I like them any less, but they've been more. They've been funny with each other, ever since Ron wrote Hermione that love letter.
