My car is just not having a good year...
As if I didn't just have my car completely repainted top to bottom a few weeks ago, now it has to go back to the bodyshop. WHY? Because I got hit by a taxi last night. The good news is that the damage is not that extensive, but the bad news is that I cant really drive it anywhere until I get it fixed. I am now missing my driver side-view mirror, which you never realize how much you need until its gone.
The other problem is that the mini-van is gone now, so when I am without a car, I am really stuck without a car. I will have to be rather creative to handle this well.
All you politically minded people, get this. The Bush Administration is not counting deaths by explosive devices in the determination of whether or not the troop surge is working. That means no roadside bombs, and no car bombs or suiicide attacks.
Ok, happier note. I have been setting plans in motion for the awesome summer in Chicago that I have pretty much never had. They are:
1. Going to Boston. (Ok, not in Chicago. But you get the idea)
2. A skydiving trip
3. Baseball games. Looking like a couple Cubs, maybe one Sox. Maybe one Red Sox when I am in Boston. I don't know about that one yet.
4. Genesis in concert. October 4th. Its gonna be sweet.
But, I am really excited for this summer coming up. Too bad the 80s can't stick around for now, but I anticipate good things to come.
