This is the epitome of why I want to move out of NYC. This article was written a day after the shootings.

Basically it's a letter to Virginia blaming ... the commonwealth, the political leaders, the students at tech? I'm not sure who is exactly addressed in this letter.
"You've been shrugging for decades as illegal guns from your state plague our city, killing and maiming and terrorizing New Yorkers by the thousands, at one point comprising 47% of the guns our cops recovered."
ILLEGAL GUNS PLAGUE OUR CITY.
Everyone here thinks they're too damn good for the rest of the country and world. This author did not spend a second of mourning after this attack. Nor did most New Yorkers. Virginia Tech might as well have been the North Pole for all they cared. Unless, they could misconstrue it and get on soap box and talk about gun control, the crazy south, etc. Nobody gives one shit about what happened there. Nobody asked me if I knew anyone or how I was doing or my friends.
There's no community here. Just a bunch of individuals trying to get by in life and be "cultured" paying 30,000 a year on preschool and looking down on someone else. This is what happens when a city is controlled purely by money.
One of the most liberal cities in the country... and full of a bunch of dicks.
Apparently making gun laws stricter doesn't lower crime rates if Virginia continues to plague the FINE CITY OF NYC.
"you having voted Sen. James Webb into office as an avowed opponent of gun control." Fucking A.
Anyways, the whole article pisses me off and I think is a fine piece that best reflects what New Yorkers think of the South. They think they're smarter, more cultured and better. They're all a bunch of self obsessed wankers. (With exceptions)
