Well, at least not until you are ready to settle down and be comfortable (this is after reading your other responses). If you get comfortable somewhere but are still wanting you live other places, you will be miserable for years. I have friends who are in this position and its distressing. I say if you are feeling wanderlust in anyway, do it now, before you are comfortable.
Yeah... and I could move to SF with my company for a couple months... thinking during the summer. I do love NC. I really want to live near the beach. too. But I think I have to live overseas and get it out of me.
Then do it now - but dont move to London, those cameras are just out of hand.
However, if the company is going to help you ease your way into moving to SF, I'd consider that too, because it is insanely expensive there, but awesome. But them helping you get settled might make it very worthwhile.
The company would not help me easy my way into moving to SF. They'd just allow me to do it. They're pretty cheap. But I do hate NYC winters. So much. I hate all winters, but especially in cities where I have to run around outside and brave the elements.

I'm still thinking about Dublin...
