hmm...i don't think the cameras you have would work...(i'm not sure about the land cams but i know the spectra and sx-70 don't) you have to use certain kind of polaroid film, like this one...
I know this whole process sounds so confusing...i felt the same way in the beginning...but i just kept reading and reading about it...until I got the idea.
The Daylab is a slide enlarger...looks like this...
It projects your slide onto a the polaroid 669 film. You stick a slide on top...press a button...then the picture is exposed onto the film.
On the web, a good place to start doing research is polaroid.com. go there and click on "creative process" on top of the page...on the next page you see, scroll down toward the bottom on the left would be "do emulsion lifts" and "image transfer." it basically explains the process. The good thing is the list of the kind of film you can use to do transfer and lift. Click on the one of those listed then it'll tell you, what kind of camera to use it with. Most of the cameras, thou, are discontinued. The easiest thing to find is the daylab 35.
I also found a good book on polaroid transfer at my local library. It's called "Polaroid Manipulations: A Complete Visual Guide to Creating Sx-70, Transfer, and Digital Prints" by Kathleen Thormod Carr. See if they have that at you library. It has step by step explaination + pictures. That was when I start to really understand what's going on...seeing the process in pictures... =) Amazon has it too. The book also teaches you to do fun stuff with your sx-70.
