I have a very strong opinion of how a worship leader should live. I am in no way perfect and will never claim to be. but i recognize my role in the body of christ and i understand that it is a role that should never be taken lightly, like any other role in the church.
If you're in a standing in front of a congregation leading worship you sure as Hades better be living a life of worship off of stage too. this means doing all for Gods glory, turning away from the things of this world, living a sinless life (somethings i have yet to achieve...) like i said, i'm not perfect and i think its safe to say that there isnt one worship leader in this world that is...but i try..and if i fail, God picks me up and i try again. but i recognize the importance of my role and i want to do everything i can to represent my Savior, Jesus Christ, and give him the praise that his awesome name deserves.
knowing you're living in sin then going to church on sunday morning and successfully leading a congregation into worship never works..no matter how cool you think you are or how well you can sing or play guitar or piano or bass or drums...we need to worship him in spirit and truth...not flesh and lies.
