i'm finished looking at the 8 schools i set out to see 9 days ago. they were starting to blend together, so i'm relieved that i won't be seeing anymore for awhile. i really liked all of them. my college couselor said i seem like a pretty happy person who would love most colleges...i think she's right. the trip has been tedious, but it's made me excited for college.
we got sushi for dinner tonight, but they don't serve alcohol in most restaurants here, and my dad insisted upon having a beer. so we walked several blocks searching for a grocery store only to learn that they also don't sell alcohol in grocery stores. then he found a bar, bought some beers, and we went back to the sushi place (with air conditioning!). they also smoke in bars here--they haven't allowed that in california since i was what...6? CA doesn't let you smoke in most parks...so bar smoking was shocking to me. did you know that some places in the south are still dry? if you take a train through these counties, they close up the alocohol cart on the train.
i loved the drowsy chaperone. it was adorable, and the comedic timing was perfect. i love sutton soooo much. i also really liked bridge and tunnel...although my dad "doesn't agree with the show's political views", which made things a little uncomfortable. i also loved Forbidden Broadway...the les miz revival thing was hysterical. i really wanted to see spring awakening...we waited in line for 2 hours, but couldn't get tickets :(
i'm off to milwake, WI tomorrow for my cousin's wedding.
i hope everyone is well, and i look forward to seeing the company shows! i wish i could have seen the senior showcase!
