parking at fullerton is horrible. i'm not sure if its just my school or other schools, but finding a parking spot is a competition. some students get to school at 8am and sleep in their cars till their classes start at 12pm. i've seen many arguments over a parking space. i've even seen a lady straight up jack a guy from his spot by speeding to it and nearly causing a crash.
today i was part of such an argument. i arrived in the parking structure rather late. i ditched my afro studies class for more sleep so i came in to school later than usual. around 9am-1pm is the peak hours of parking hell. people dash to spots, follow those who are leaving to their cars, other drivers pick up students from the stairs to drive them to their cars to ensure them a parking space. today the structure was mad busy with drivers eagerly looking for a space. i found a guy walking to his car and he told me he was leaving. i didn't want to offer him a ride to his car because #1 he was a guy and #2 his car wasn't that far from where we were. when he got to his car there was already another lady waiting to take his space, but obviously i was the rightful owner to his spot because i followed him all the way to his car. i couldn't hear the lady yelling because her windows were up, but from her hand motions i could tell she was signaling to take MY spot. i immediately got out of my car and started yelling "I FOLLOWED HIM ALL THE WAY TO HIS CAR! THIS IS MY SPOT!" in the middle of all the commotion, there was a line of cars right behind me. the lady finally shut up and let me drive into my space. as she passed by me, all she said was "calm down." my only reply was "YOU CALM DOWN!".
after i parked my car i kind of felt bad for yelling at the poor woman. but then again, i got a sweet parking space. i thought about the repercussions of this event like maybe the lady might stop by my car and slash my tires or break my windows. anything is possible. i just hope rita is in the same condition as i left her. i hope i never have to go through that kind of mess again. no one messes with boogie's parking space.
its a jungle out there.
Boogie.
Ruthless.
