i'm undergoing a kind of experiment in sleep cycles.
basically, i wake up in the middle of the night, after i know i've had a full R.E.M. cycle, and then i practice saxophone for an hour, and then go back to bed. and then when i wake up FOR REAL, i will practice saxophone for another hour.
my hypothesis is that, practicing twice, while getting sleep in between these practices, will result in learning material more quickly than, say, if i were to just practice for two hours straight.
(i will explain more later... like, why i'm not just going to practice for an hour in the morning, and then an hour in the evening)
so, right now, i'm just on a break, getting ready to practice for another half-hour! i'll keep journaling so that everyone can know how it's going :-)
