So, I'm all for tattoos, but here's something I've never understood: getting someone's name, specifically a significant other's, tattooed on your body. Why do people think this is a good idea? A few days ago a friend of mine and her boyfriend (who, it is important to point out, has cheated on her before) got each other's names done on their arms. Today, she finds out he's cheating again. I do feel bad for her because she's my friend and what he did was fucked up, but also I think she's a retard who should have known better.
All and all, it just seems like a bad plan. There's never been anyone I've dated that I wanted to have their name permanently imprinted on my skin. I mean, the best you can hope for is that they're actually pretty cool and you break up amicably and stay friends, but even then it's going to be seriously awkward to have a tattoo of their name.
