Last Week

I will try to briefly summarize this past week.

• 1st block - Metals has been metals. Delightfully easy and what not. On Tuesday there was a fight! I was sitting in the classroom doing some definitions I hadn't had the chance to do since I was out sick Monday when I heard a ruckus in the lab next door. Our classroom has a huge window to the lab, I guess so the teacher can watch everyone reguardless of which room he's in, so I saw it all. They were on the floor pounding each other shaking the table when Mr. Tucker broke it up. The funny thing was, five seconds after it was over, everyone just kind of shrugged and got back to work.
• 2nd block - Spanish II has been the same as well. We've been doing work about stuff we haven't really learned because Mrs. Rountree is far too ADD to actually teach. The last two days we've had a substitute so we've been watching the endless movie Selena. We still haven't gotten to the end. That movie sucks so much; it should be a comedy. Esp. when she dies. (We haven't gotten there either but I'm betting I'll laugh.) On Wed. we made Valentines in Spanish and Jake and Austin both made theirs for Meredith. I'm supposed to mail her her stuff today and include the Valentines. They're competing for her love.
• 3rd block - The student teacher has been teaching in Honors Lit (ya know, Mrs. Sherrard's not going to teach unless she absolutely has to). He's an okay teacher, kind of boring, kind of dry, but at least he tries. We've been reading excerpts from the Rig Veda, Tanakh, and Qu'ran. Then at the end of the week we have a ridiculously difficult test over them. I don't know if I aced it or not. At least I made a 98 on my voc. test.
• 4th block - We're tearing up the book now. We've gone through 3 chapters in 3 weeks. This week was pioneers and the "Wild West" and what not. I think I did okay on the quiz yesterday.
• My Job - Shiv was sick Mon. and Tues. which was okay because on Monday I made $5 anyway from grabbing Michael's butt, and on Tuesday I helped Jane make a site for some class she had to take and she gave me $50 in Amazon money for it (SWEEEET!). Shiv's been doing okay as well, so I was surprised when his mom told me how poorly he's been doing on DOL at school. I think he doesn't even try at school because he just wants to get it over with, which is why we won't be playing Scrabble (his favorite game) anytime soon.

Well, I have been sticking to my Lent promise or w/e it's called. I have yet to touch the computer after 9:00. It's working out well because in those times I would normally be sitting on the computer, I have cleaned my makeup desk, reorganized my cd case, bathed, and talked with my dad. Last night I went to see Hide and Seek with Brittany and her fam. It was an ok movie. It started really slow but got better towards the end. Her mom said she had figured it out but I didn't see it coming. The highlight of the evening was when we were buying a coke and this kid (about 11 years old) was trying to break me or something. I was just kidding and I kind of looked at him and said "You breaking me?" He got this look of complete horror mixed with disgust and took off like a rocket. HAHA.
When I got home my parents informed me that Russ Shannon had a car. (Oh the horror!) I called his cell and told him to bring it by, but not after 2 a.m. or something because that sounds like something he'd do. So guess what. He calls at 12 a.m. just as I am crawling into bed and tells us he's in the front yard. So I trekked out there with Oxy cream on my face and all and had him drive us (Georgia and I) around the block in his white 1982 Camaro. It's pretty nice and he got it for only $700.
Well, at the end of this month I will be taking a voyage up to GA Tech with 5 other girls, my mom, and Mr. Crawley. Should be an adventure. The same weekend, Megan and John are coming home and we're doing our dinner theater. That should also be an adventure.
That's about it, sorry this entry is sooo long.
