I'm doing a 5K for skin cancer in honor of my grandpa next month. My mom was deciding between going out to Vegas to see her dad or running the race in his honor. I've decided I'm telling her she's not allowed to run - she should go to Vegas for that three-day weekend because the time she has left with him is limited and she can always do the run next year.
The cancer has spread to his brain and lungs. The tumor on his lung keeps growing. And spreading to the brain is the last step. :( But I've come to terms with it and I'm going out there the last weekend of the month. He said he's so honored that I'm forming a team of my boyfriend and running buddies to run in his honor at the Shun the Sun race in November. And I couldn't be prouder of how hard he's fighting for Christmas :D
