FanExpo was pretty awesome this year!
Got to see Adam West, Burt Ward & Julie Newmar all together. Heather Langenkamp, Bill Mosely, Bruce Boxleitner.
Saw some previews of the new Tron game, and Tron Legacy, the 60s Batmobile, a giant Recognizer (from Tron, of course).
Talked to Tim Doiron and April Mullen for a while, n got to see GravyTrain (which everyone should see, along with Rock, Paper Scissors: The Way of the Tosser). They're workin on another film for next year, and need extras!
If you know anyone who would be interested in being in a horror-comedy about zombies and stuff, and are in the area (GTA/Niagara Falls or somewhere between), let me know, and I'll pass your contact info on to them :)
Got some awesome free swag this year. Green Lantern ring, The Flash ring, Black Lantern ring, a bunch of pins for like Justice League n stuff, a couple of lithographs, a whoopie cushion, a Face Hugger mask, I forget what else.
Bought a bunch of movies, mostly Nazi exploitation stuff from the 70s, FINALLY found a copy of HR Gigers Necronomicon (the film), also got a signed copy of GravyTrain! Finally picked up a copy of Lenore... I forget which book it was; one of the first 3 TPBs though. Got me some vinyl toys, as usual. Picked up 2 Futurama ones at first, and got Nibbler and the Robot Devil. Then I got some weird plastic cat thing that have a game in their head, but one had been opened and busted and missing parts... Not goin back to that stall again. Then I grabbed a Monger n got a flower pot, who is now sitting beside my Monger TV set, got a I forget what it was called but it's a little bear head keychain thing with blood coming frmo its mouth, and a Simpson's toy DEVIL FLANDERS!@ what are the odds of getting TWO devil themed Groening toys?
Lots of cosplay nerds rolling around on the floor and not going to see any Q&A sessions or much else. This caused the building to be pretty much shut down (no one in) for hours on Saturday.
IF YOU WANT TO DO A MILLION PHOTOS, GO OUTSIDE AND DO IT SO PEOPLE CAN GET IN TO SEE THE GUESTS THEY WANT CAME TO THE CON FOR!
P.S. DON'T BRING PROPS THAT ARE BIGGER THAN YOU ARE, THEY GET IN THE FUCKING WAY.
That said, there were some pretty awesome costumes! The people in said awesome costumes didn't roll around on the floor, or get in peoples way, or block entrances or escalators, or pretty much any of the other shit those murry purry furfags and weaboos with giant hammers and wands and whatever the hell else those guys had were doing.
Had some awesome food too :) Went to East Side Mario's, as usual. Our normal server was there again, and still remembers what Kent & I like to drink etc.
Rly good 4 meat pizza that filled me the hell up on saturday, and some awesome super garlic bruschetta on friday. Went to Lou Dawg's BBQ for lunch on sunday before we headed to the con and got the 3 meat slider taster thing (chicken, pork and brisket), amazing potato salad and coleslaw too.
My usual parking lot was pretty much empty, except for on sunday; which was a bonus.
I think that about sums it all up!
