I got a letter today from the North Shore Animal League that broke my heart. Pictures of abused animals and stories of what happen to them and how little it takes for people to help.
The people here saved my dog's life and took care of him when his first owner dumped him after having him locked in a garage for the first year of his life. So if anyone can, please go to their website and donate, even just $1 can help.
I donated more than I probably should have, but it's a good cause, they're the world's largest non-kill shelter so none of your money will be put towards killing animals, only saving them and helping them find homes.
So please just look at the website, if you have one dollar to spare then donate one dollar, if not, then keep it bookmarked. The amount of animals who are abused and abandoned each year is overwhelming and these are the people who are speaking up and helping these animals.
