So , an update on life-o-mania!
My little buddy Erin called me the day before yesterday and may be traveling down here to Austin with her new boyfriend to see me around my birthday!
Let, see: on New Years' morning, a drunk illegal alien hit my car and totalled it whilst it was parked in front of the house I'm staying at in Austin. Blech. We've since found out that the offending vehicle is technically still registered to this little old lady who came to see me tonight after work to talk about what we're going to do to get this resolved. She is really sweet, and I don't think we'll have any problems.
Work has been really good, it looks like I'm getting my raise soon, up to $10 and hour instead of $8. I love my job still, however I'll probably move later in the year to a place downtown where I can make maybe a little bit more money. Maybe. Who knows? I just know that I've got two other certifications that I'm not using at Great Clips(facial peel tech and body wrap tech). More certifications= more money.
Saturday I went out to my friends Ruby and Trixi's birthday bonanza at Beerland. I had a lot of fun, and got to sing "20th Century Boy". My friend Mike Frye gave me a pep talk about Hedwig, so I'll really be "getting on the stick" in the next couple of months in that regard. Expect news to be posted both in Livejournal and Myspace.
I'm planning on celebrating my birthday Friday January 25th at the Jackalope on Sixth Street, so any of you who are free should come out and see me/help me get toasted. I don't expect anything but to see some of my friends there, because last year hardly anyone showed up in Dallas. Grrar.
