Normally it probably would be highly amusing that Liam was the one feeling like he had given birth. It would give his siblings much fuel for piss-pulling, which is why he had taken to just sitting slumped down in the seat beside Renee's bed with his legs stretched out in front of him. At least, that is how he had been sitting until the maternity nurse came back with the baby in the plastic crib after his medical check over and promptly handed the swaddled sleeping bundle to Liam with some attempt to be cute by calling him a midwife-to-be. Luckily the nurse had her back turned by this point, but Renee caught the Evil Eyeball that Liam shot her, and struggled to stifle a snort of a laugh, covering it with a fake cough.
But the nurse was gone now, and Liam was literally left holding the baby. He might have delivered the tiny boy but that didn't mean he didn't feel weird about it. This was his nephew, and Liam had been the one to help bring him into the world. For a long time, he just sat there with his hoodie pulled over his head, staring at the infant tucked in his arms and trying to sort out the mix of thoughts swishing through his tired brain.
