Now, isn't that interesting? Second thing like this that has happened recently. Okay, first one first. A few days ago, I was just leaving work. I got in the elevator. The elevator that I got into was the one that also had a back door, so you could get off at the back of the building, rather than get off at the front and walk around the lobby to the back. This one elevator was the only one that had such a door (the other three don't). I had always wanted to push the button so I would get off using the back button, but just never felt like it. Also, at that point I had never shared an elevator with anyone, meaning I get in, push the button for the 6th floor, and it goes right there, nobody ever gets on in the middle (because I go in/leave at such strange times, I only work 10-2). So this one time I finally decide to push that button so the back door will open at the lobby. I also press the floor that I need, Garage 1. So, the elevator is going down, and it stops at level 3. A guy gets on, looks at the lit up buttons, and then doesn't press any. So, the elevator stops at the lobby and the back door opens, AND HE GETS OUT! The one time I decide to press that button, and the one time I share the elevator with someone, and that's exactly what he needed. It's like I was psychic or something.
Second thing. On Tuesday, I made plans to hang out with someone today. So, I wrote it on my calendar, just like I always do (if it's not on my calendar, it won't happen, I have a terrible memory). It just so happened that the writing implement I reached for was a pencil, and I wrote it down. What's interesting about that is that I don't think I've ever written in pencil in my calendar, I always always use pen. But for some unknown reason, I used a pencil. Then today, I find out that this person FORGOT that we were hanging out, and made other plans. Great. Thanks a lot. They offered to hang out tomorrow instead, but I'm crazy busy tomorrow. And Saturday. Which is why I wanted to hang out today. Whatever. Anyway, so I thought it was interesting that the one time I write in pencil, it's something I have to erase.
